Position will assist with the coordination, planning, and execution of athletics facility projects, daily facility operations, and select event support functions for UCF Athletics. This position will support a wide range of operational initiatives across athletics venues and facilities while helping maintain safe, functional, and “recruit ready” environments for student-athletes, staff, coaches, and guests.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the day-to-day operational oversight of athletics facilities, venues, and support spaces.
  • Support facility operations for practices, competitions, camps, special events, and external rentals, including setup and breakdown.
  • Assist with athletics facility improvement projects, renovations, deferred maintenance efforts, and operational upgrades.
  • Coordinate with campus partners, contractors, vendors, and service providers to support project execution and operational needs.
  • Conduct facility walkthroughs and assist with identifying operational, maintenance, safety, and appearance-related concerns.
  • Serve as the primary administrator of the department’s facilities management software (FMX), including the intake, assignment, tracking, and follow-up of work requests to ensure timely resolution and communication with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Athletics staff, campus partners, and service providers to submit, track, and document facility improvement requests, maintenance projects, and operational work orders.
  • Assist with the development, submission, and management of project requests, including supporting documentation, scope development, budget estimates, and coordination with university partners.
  • Support permitting, inspections, and regulatory approval processes associated with facility improvements, capital projects, temporary structures, and special events.
  • Maintain accurate records related to work orders, project requests, permits, inspections, and facility documentation to support operational planning and project execution.
  • Provide event and facility management support for home football games and track & field meets.
  • Manage key inventory program and assist with access control.
  • Assist with training for the Facilities, Events & Operations student staff, as needed.
  • Support departmental initiatives related to customer service, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with preparing operational reports, presentations, and project updates as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with university, conference, NCAA, OSHA, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years appropriate experience.
  • Appropriate graduate coursework or master’s degree may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general technology platforms.
  • Experience working in collegiate athletics or large-scale event environments.
  • Familiarity with athletics facility operations and event management principles.
  • Experience coordinating projects, vendors, contractors, or operational logistics.
  • Knowledge of NCAA and conference operational standards.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Due to the nature/scope of Athletics and Athletics events, position may require work during evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as the ability to stand / walk for extended periods of time and occasional travel.
