Summary Of Job Duties

The Athletic Business Office Assistant will support the day-to-day operations of the University of Arkansas Athletics Business Office. This position provides hands-on experience in collegiate athletics financial operations and administrative processes. The assistant will support staff with key functions including accounts payable, travel coordination and reconciliation, University credit card tracking, and the organization and maintenance of departmental policies and procedures on the shared network drive. This position is ideal for students seeking a career in business, accounting, or collegiate athletics administration.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be available to work up to 15 hours per week, across a minimum of three days
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends in support of home athletic events
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior work experience in duties relevant to the position
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Knowledge of computers and software applications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prepare written information and reports
  • Ability to research and analyze related work program information
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet established work deadlines
