Summary Of Job Duties
The Assistant Director – Content Creation is responsible for producing high-quality video content that drives fan engagement, supports revenue growth, and enhances recruiting efforts. This position supports the Arkansas Razorbacks’ digital strategy by managing daily social media and content output for assigned sports.
The role will lead the creative content strategy for Women’s Basketball and the department-wide Arkansas Razorbacks athletics account, overseeing all aspects of planning, production, and execution. This position will also supervise and mentor the lead creative students for Gymnastics, Swim & Dive, and Track & Field/XC ensuring consistent, high-quality creative output across all assigned programs.
The main account will be a major priority in this role. It is essential that this position maintains a strong and consistent brand voice for our athletics program. Content on this account should highlight department milestones, tell meaningful stories about our student-athletes, celebrate holidays and traditions, and elevate moments that represent the Razorback experience.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, film, sports administration or related area of study
- At least one year of experience in videography
- At least one year of experience working or interning with a collegiate or professional sports team
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least two to three years of experience in videography, as well as one or more of the following skills: photography, graphic design, copywriting, or social media strategy
- Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud with an emphasis on Premiere Pro
- Experience collaborating effectively with marketing, public relations, sports teams, and MMR
- Experience with content strategy in Women’s Basketball
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
- Strong time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Videography + additional creative skill
- Ability to organize a content plan
