St. Thomas Aquinas High School is seeking a dynamic Varsity Cheerleading Coach to rebuild and lead the varsity cheer program. The ideal candidate has strong experience in stunting and tumbling, with a passion for gameday cheerleading for both football and basketball seasons. This role is a unique opportunity to build a program that promotes excellence, teamwork, and school spirit.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Leadership: Lead all aspects of the cheerleading program, from tryouts to performances.
- Skill Development: Develop and implement training for stunting, tumbling, jumps, and choreography.
- Gameday Coaching: Create and coach spirited routines for gameday performances.
- Team Management: Handle logistics, scheduling, and communication with athletes and parents.
- Safety: Uphold all safety guidelines during practices and performances.
- Mentorship: Serve as a positive role model and mentor to student-athletes.
Qualifications
- Proven coaching experience at the varsity or competitive level.
- Demonstrated expertise in stunting and tumbling.
- Strong knowledge of gameday cheerleading.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- Passion for building and growing a program.
