The University of South Carolina is seeking a dynamic, high-energy, and strategic leader who thrives in fast-paced environments to serve as Staffing and Security Manager for the iconic Colonial Life Arena and Carolina Coliseum. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the operational excellence and guest experience behind some of the region’s premier live entertainment, athletic, and special event experiences. From sold-out concerts and championship athletics to campus and community events, this position plays a critical role in ensuring safe, seamless, and memorable experiences for every guest who enters our venues.

Key Responsibilities
•         Lead event staffing operations in partnership with Event Managers, overseeing front- and back-of-house staffing plans for concerts, athletics, special events, campus programming, and other venue activities.
•         Recruit, hire, train, schedule, retain, and supervise event staff, building a professional, service-focused team capable of delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced event environment.
•         Oversee venue security operations for both event and non-event activities, ensuring adherence to established security policies, procedures, industry best practices, and risk management protocols.
•         Coordinate with contracted staffing providers, local first responders, and public safety officials to develop and implement comprehensive staffing, security, and emergency support plans that ensure events operate safely and smoothly.
•         Serve as a key member of the venue management team, collaborating across departments to anticipate staffing and security needs, proactively address challenges, and support seamless event execution.
•         Develop and implement staffing and security best practices while participating in event planning and post-event evaluations to strengthen operational efficiency, enhance safety, and elevate the overall guest and client experience.

Minimum Qualifications: Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 4 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the sport and entertainment field, including experience with event staffing, venue security, public safety coordination, or large-scale event operations.
