Scarlet Knight Enterprises, Inc. (SKE) is a New Jersey-based nonprofit that serves as the commercial arm supporting Rutgers Athletics. SKE drives revenue through multimedia rights, corporate sponsorship, NIL facilitation, and fan engagement - working alongside Rutgers Athletics to maximize the impact of one of the most storied programs in college sports.

SKE is excited to accept applications for the Scarlet Knight Enterprises Internship Program, offering placements within four key departments within the company: in Brand Partnerships Activation, Engagement and Events, Creative Brand Partnerships, and Finance & HR. Interns will experience opportunity to connect with fellow cohort members monthly and will work together on cross-departmental projects.

Position Summary
Scarlet Knight Enterprises (SKE) is seeking a motivated class of interns to support its teams in their efforts for revenue generation for Rutgers Athletics. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative team.

In this role, the Finance & HR Intern supports the VP of Finance & HR with daily financial, HR, and operational tasks including payroll coordination, accounts payable, billing, and invoice processing. They will assist with financial reporting, reconciliations, forecasting, and month-end close processes while maintaining data accuracy across internal systems. The role also includes supporting HR functions such as onboarding, compliance documentation, and employee records, as well as coordinating vendor setup, access requests, and scheduling to support cross-functional operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct support to the VP of Finance & HR on daily financial, HR, and operational tasks.
• Assist with payroll operations, including coordination with external payroll partners and posting related journal entries.
• Support accounts payable, billing, collections, and invoice processing; prepare vendor payments for approval.
• Help maintain data accuracy in internal systems including Salesforce, SponsorCX, and banking platforms.
• Assist in preparing weekly cash forecasts, commission reports, pipeline updates, and ad hoc financial summaries.
• Support month-end and year-end close with documentation, reconciliations, and cross-functional coordination.
• Draft and organize internal documents including offer letters, onboarding checklists, HR compliance materials, and employee handbook updates.
• Coordinate vendor needs such as IT setup, email access, software provisioning, and equipment requests.
• Track deadlines, schedule meetings and interviews, and manage reporting timelines and compliance checkpoints.
• Serve as a liaison between internal departments to keep cross-functional workstreams moving smoothly.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial records, HR data, contracts, and internal planning materials.
• Provide periodic support for event or game day operational needs as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student at Rutgers University – New Brunswick.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Forward-thinking mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Professional, adaptable, and dependable.
• Self-starter who can work independently, prioritize effectively, and hit deadlines.

Compensation & Benefits
Internship is unpaid; college credit is offered upon request.
