Scarlet Knight Enterprises, Inc. (SKE) is a New Jersey-based nonprofit that serves as the commercial arm supporting Rutgers Athletics. SKE drives revenue through multimedia rights, corporate sponsorship, NIL facilitation, and fan engagement - working alongside Rutgers Athletics to maximize the impact of one of the most storied programs in college sports.
SKE is excited to accept applications for the Scarlet Knight Enterprises Internship Program, offering placements within four key departments within the company: in Brand Partnerships Activation, Engagement and Events, Creative Brand Partnerships, and Finance & HR. Interns will experience opportunity to connect with fellow cohort members monthly and will work together on cross-departmental projects.
Position Summary
Scarlet Knight Enterprises (SKE) is seeking a motivated class of interns to support its team in their efforts for revenue generation for Rutgers Athletics. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative team.
In this role, the Engagement & Events Intern supports the Director of Project Management in planning and executing corporate events, gameday hospitality, and partner engagement initiatives. They will learn planning and logistics such as RSVPs, vendor coordination, event material creation, gifting, and data organization, while providing administrative and on-site support to enhance partner experiences.
Key Responsibilities
· Support planning and execution of corporate partnership events, meetings, gamedays, and special projects.
· Organize and maintain customer/prospect data and conduct research to create briefs for executive use.
· Assist with event logistics including invitations, materials, décor, RSVPs, and on-site support.
· Coordinate vendor communication, ordering, budgeting support, and gift/engagement mailings.
· Help manage inventory, administrative tasks, and cross-department partnership activation efforts.
· Support gameday hospitality operations, including setup, guest check-in, and breakdown at Rutgers Football home games.
Qualifications

· Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student at Rutgers University – New Brunswick.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
· Forward-thinking mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
· Professional, adaptable, and dependable.
· Experience with CRM or tracking systems; Salesforce a plus, not required.
· Self-starter who can work independently, prioritize effectively, and hit deadlines.
· Team-first attitude with the flexibility to thrive in a growing, evolving organization.
Compensation & Benefits
Internship is unpaid; college credit is offered upon request.
