POSITION: Marketing & Promotions Assistantship
DEPARTMENT: Communications & Marketing
REPORTS TO: Coordinator, Marketing Activation
STATUS: Temporary Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Onsite
SUMMARY: This is an exciting opportunity for an individual interested in a career in marketing, promotions, or related fields. This position supports the Communications & Marketing departments in the planning and execution of promotional efforts, event activations, and brand awareness initiatives related to Orange Bowl Committee programming and events.
Duration: 6.5 months /Tentative start date: Fall 2026
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Collaborate on the development and execution of marketing strategies designed to increase overall brand awareness for the Orange Bowl Committee, its events, and its programs.
- Assist with the creation, organization, and copyediting of event scripts and promotional materials.
- Support the planning and execution of in-game, on-stage, and on-site promotions, including entertainment, talent coordination, and event activations for the Capital One Orange Bowl Fan Fest, Orange Bowl Basketball Classic, and other Orange Bowl events.
- Assist with email marketing initiatives, including email builds, content updates, and campaign support.
- Help develop and execute community promotions and engagement initiatives, including the Creative Art Contest (Grades K–12), Tag-A-Teacher Program, and other Orange Bowl promotional efforts as assigned.
- Coordinate OBIE mascot appearances and support promotional activities, including serving as the mascot at events as needed.
- Research, order, organize, and manage inventory for promotional giveaway items and event materials.
- Support promotional efforts across a variety of Orange Bowl Festival Events and community programs.
- Perform additional duties and support special projects as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High energy; ability to remain focused on goals and work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to manage, prioritize and bring to completion multiple projects
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva and Photoshop; other design software experience a plus
- Must be available to work ALL Orange Bowl Committee events (weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays) including but not limited to the Orange Bowl Youth Football League
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
NOTE:
- Must be willing to work 40 hours a week with overtime being paid for additional hours as needed.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
