POSITION:            Community Outreach Assistantship
DEPARTMENT:       Community Outreach
REPORTS TO:         Vice President Community Outreach
STATUS:                Temporary Full-Time, Non-Exempt (On-site) 
 
SUMMARY:   Responsible for assisting with the coordination and facilitation of community outreach events, programs and initiatives while working with the Coordinator, Community Outreach to execute the Community Outreach mission of the organization. 
 
Salary: $2260 monthly /Duration: 6.5 months /Tentative start date:  Fall 2024
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Community Outreach Administration: 
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of all Community Programs and Events
  • Assist with the day-to-day administrative operations of the Community Outreach Dept. I.e. Purchase Orders, Databases, Scholarship & Contest Applications etc.…
  • Assist the Coordinator, Community Outreach with the day to day operations of the Orange Bowl Youth Football Alliance (OBYFA), including but not limited to collection, recording and organization of park insurance, registration cards, & databases.
  • Assist in coordinating and participating in the OBYFA Park of the Week program on Saturdays
  • Assist the Coordinator, Community Outreach with the administrative management of the Orange Bowl Leadership Academy Program (OBLA) to include but not limited to ordering and the distribution of supplies, coordinating and attending field trips, scheduling guest speakers etc.…. 
  • Attend internal and external Community Outreach meetings during and after normal business and record minutes as needed 
Community Outreach Events:
  • Assist the Coordinator, Community Outreach with “Orange Bowl Big Buddy” Program 
  • Assist the Coordinator, Community Outreach with “OBLA End of the Year Celebration”
  • Assist the Coordinator, Community Outreach with “Day in the Community” activities 
  • Assist in the coordination of OBYFA events including but not limited to Youth Football Clinics, Cheer Camp, Cheer Championships, Park of the Week program, Recreational League Championships
  • Assist in the execution of the Orange Bowl Family, Fun & Fit Day
  • Assist in the execution of the Orange Bowl Food & Wine Celebration
  • Assist with Community Outreach & Special Guests in game promotions during the Capital One Orange Bowl (CCOB)
General:
  • Various other tasks as assigned 
QUALIFICATIONS
  •   Bachelor’s degree 
  •   Additional experience in related field a plus
  •   Ability to work flexible hours based on events, including daytime, evening, weekends and holidays, as      needed
  • Exceptional problem-solving, communication skills and ability to multitask 
  • Must be proficient in MS word & Excel, Knowledge in PowerPoint a plus
  • Must have professional attitude and appearance and have strong teamwork skills
  •  Must possess a valid driver’s license
