Event Overview
The Fiesta Sports Foundation will host the first-of-its-kind national tournament for Division I women’s flag football. The Fiesta Bowl Flag Football Classic presented by Oakley will take place April 18–19 on the campus of Arizona State University and feature eight Division I NCAA programs competing in a multi-day championship format. The event includes pool play on Day One followed by a championship playoff bracket on Day Two and will involve student-athletes, coaches, officials, media, vendors, and governing body representatives.
Position Summary
The Flag Football Operations Associate is a temporary position, supporting the planning and execution of the Fiesta Bowl Flag Football Classic presented by Oakley. This position will assist with all aspects of event operations, including venue operations, game-day execution, team services, logistics, vendor coordination, and fan experience. The role is designed for candidates with prior sports event operations experience who are seeking hands-on responsibility in a national tournament environment.
Employment Details:
- Start Date: March 2
- End Date: May 15 (subject to extend depending on business needs)
- Compensation: $16.50 per hour
- Schedule: Approximately 30–40 hours per week, with increased hours and limited overtime during event week
- Work Format: In-office work required. Monday - Friday with on-site events (including weekends).
- Classification: Seasonal/Temporary Associate
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Game & Event Operations Coordinator
Key Responsibilities
- Support venue operations planning and on-site execution for a multi-day national tournament
- Assist with game-day operations, including field setup, run-of-show execution, and issue resolution
- Support team services and hospitality, including coordination with participating teams, officials, and support staff
- Assist with equipment management, inventory tracking, load-in, and load-out operations
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery and proper setup
- Support fan experience elements, including wayfinding, ticketing, and on-site activation's
