The Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Director of Creative Video Content.
Founded in 1978, the ASUN is an NCAA Division I Athletic Conference headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, that includes twelve (12) full member institutions situated across seven (7) states in the southeast region of the U.S. With over 20 million homes within its footprint, ASUN institutions are collectively on the rise, seeing record enrollment numbers and population growth while representing several of the largest markets and most popular destinations in the country.
The Assistant Director of Creative Video Content serves as a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference’s external operations team. The role requires exceptional organizational skills, creativity, intrinsic motivation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Video Content Creation
- Responsible for primary video content creation and motion graphics, including but not limited to conference PSA’s, season previews, season recaps, highlight videos, promotional videos, Hall of Fame videos, seasonal award videos, video board content, and other content as assigned.
- Assist in the development and production of ESPN+ advertisement content as required.
Social Media
- Assist with the development and production of content in support of the ASUN’s overall digital strategy; assist with the continual development and execution of the ASUN digital strategy, including the analysis of relevant analytics.
- Assist in the management of social media platforms in alignment with the ASUN’s digital strategy.
Sport Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary communications contact for assigned sport(s), providing coverage and website updates.
- Assist in Player of the Week selections as assigned.
External Team
- Assist with sponsorship fulfillment and assignments in support of the external team goals and objectives.
Championships & Events
- Travel to and provide on-site support/coverage for ASUN championships and events as assigned.
Other
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Commissioner to support the overall success of the Atlantic Sun Conference.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- A Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree.
- Experience in intercollegiate or professional athletics.
- Strong background in video and creative content production.
- Proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience in graphic design.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to relocate to Jacksonville, Florida.
- A demonstrated commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism.
- A willingness to travel and work extended hours (nights and weekends) as necessary.
Compensation & Benefits:
A compensation package for the selected candidate will include a base salary commensurate with experience and Atlantic Sun Conference Staff salary ranges. Benefits include annual vacation and leave, medical and dental insurance, retirement matching, and other benefits in accordance with Atlantic Sun Conference policy.
The Atlantic Sun Conference offices operate on a 5-day work week, allowing all staff to select one weekday (limited to Monday or Friday) to work remotely from home each week. Due to the nature of collegiate athletics, all full-time staff are expected to occasionally travel and be available during nights and weekends if necessary.
