The College Football Playoff is seeking paid interns for the 2026-2027 season. These individuals will play a vital role in the success of their respective departments and contribute to the overall mission of CFP. This CFP internship program offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment, providing valuable opportunities for professional growth and development within the sports industry.
CFP Interns will be employed in Irving, Texas, from July 14, 2026, to April 30, 2027. They will work Monday through Friday, with occasional opportunities for overtime on nights and weekends during peak business periods. To be considered, all candidates must have earned a bachelor's degree by July 1, 2026.

Events and Hospitality Intern
Position Description: The Events & Hospitality Intern will assist the College Football Playoff (CFP) team with planning and running hospitality and event programs throughout the year and during the national championship. This position offers hands-on experience in event planning, guest services, and logistics while working within a fast-paced, high-profile sports environment. This position will contribute to creating exceptional experiences for guests, partners, and stakeholders, gaining valuable insight into large-scale event operations and professional hospitality management.
Job Responsibilities:
Event planning and support
Responsibilities including travel, scheduling, accommodations, gifting, guest services and general operations for the following events.
- Selection Committee meetings and Selection Day
- Celebrating Female Playmakers
- Allstate Party at the Playoff
- Golden Hour at the Playoff VIP Event
- CFP Day of Service Event
- First and Gold VIP Pregame Event
- National Championship Game
- Spring Meeting
- Host city planning and production meetings
- Other event support as directed including pop-up CFP governance meetings, office receptions/events, and staff celebrations
Administration of the VIP program including client relations, travel, gift program, ticketing, hotel management, reimbursements and general concierge services
- VIP program includes Board of Managers, Management Committee, Selection Committee, CFP Bowl partners, Athletic Directors, Head Football Coaches, TV executives, conference constituents, industry VIPs, game officials, participating team alumni and presidents' offices and vendors.
Support general hotel program administration including:
- Room list management
- Monitoring of contract compliance
- Aid in first-round hotel management
- Assist in direct billing and financial settlement matters
Management of constituent engagement platform
- Regular maintenance of 2,500+ contacts
- Overall administration of the Teamworks platform
- Manage internal trip itineraries for all CFP events
- Organization and creation of messaging for communication to guests
General department support and administrative assistance
- Office expense reconciliation and payment request monitoring
- Ticket processing for VIPs
- Graphic design requests
- Celebration acknowledgement (Birthdays, Baby Announcements, etc.)
- Department shipping and receiving
- Storage area management
- Work collaboratively with other interns and staff on office-wide projects and events, as needed
- Other administrative duties as assigned
Reports To: Director of Events and Hospitality Services; Events and Hospitality Coordinator
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Applicable event, guest services and/or hospitality experience
- Ability to prioritize, manage, and bring multiple projects to completion
- Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of all corporate, personnel and research matters
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, adaptability and dependability
- Ability to work under pressure and autonomously
- Proficiency in Canva, Microsoft Office and Adobe
