CFP Stadium & Game Operations Coordinator

Overview: The College Football Playoff is seeking a highly motivated, collaborative and experience-focused individual to play an integral role within the CFP’s Stadium and Game Operations Team.  The person holding this position will assist in the planning, management, and execution of general stadium and game operations for the College Football Playoff First-Round and National Championship.  Areas of focus include, but are not limited to, assisting with facility operations, game management, game entertainment and presentation, game officials, fan experience, parking and transportation, security, concessions, guest services and volunteer supervision.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Aid in the planning, management and execution of general stadium and game operations for the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. 
  • Update informational collateral and manuals for fans, stadium staff, participating teams, volunteers, public safety and other key stakeholders. 
  • Organize and distribute information regarding hosting CFP First-Round games to key stakeholders.  
  • Implement CFP policies and protocols as they relate to stadium and game operations for the playoff.
  • Develop and manage master calendars for national championship game week and game day.  
  • Oversee the shipping and distribution of stadium and game operations related items for all CFP games.
  • Assist with deliveries and loading dock operations for the national championship. 
  • Oversee the logistics of load-in/out of suites at the national championship.  
  • Assist with the run-of-show, including game scripts and public service announcements, for the national championship.
  • Aid in the planning of a national championship security tabletop exercise.
  • Assist with the management of championship game parking and transportation. 
  • Communicate with stadium operations volunteers throughout the year and on-site.
  • Assist with the procurement of vendors and items as it relates to stadium and game operations.
  • Work closely with stadium operations planning partners in preparation for the national championship. 
  • Aid with the management of all operational expenses according to a pre-approved budget. 
  • Conduct account reconciliations and payment request monitoring.
  • Collaborate with other CFP staff on office-wide projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • One or more years of experience in event planning / game management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others
  • Professionalism and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and adaptability to a changing college sports environment
  • Ability to manage, prioritize and bring multiple projects to completion 
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of all corporate, personnel and research matters
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, at a minimum
  • Flexibility to work long hours including evenings and weekends 
  • Available for travel on CFP business
