The College Football Playoff is seeking paid interns for the 2026-2027 season. These individuals will play a vital role in the success of their respective departments and contribute to the overall mission of CFP. This CFP internship program offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment, providing valuable opportunities for professional growth and development within the sports industry.

CFP Interns will be employed in Irving, Texas, from July 14, 2026, to April 30, 2027. They will work Monday through Friday, with occasional opportunities for overtime on nights and weekends during peak business periods. To be considered, all candidates must have earned a bachelor's degree by July 1, 2026.

Interested candidates are eligible to apply for any of the five internships that align with their qualifications and career interests. Each application must be completed in its entirety and follow all posted instructions to be considered.

Business Operations:

Job Responsibilities:
Accounting & Finance:
  • Offer general accounting and finance support through projects as requested.
  • Develop, review, and distribute monthly financials to the departments.
  • Create and submit invoices for the Business and Ticketing departments as requested.
  • Compile and distribute 1099 forms to vendors.
  • Reconcile monthly bank and credit card statements.

Licensing & Merchandise:
  • Maintain licensing brand guidelines to ensure designs, promotional concepts, and appropriate use of the CFP name and registered trademarks are adhered to by CFP licensees; monitor and report brand infringement.
  • Assist with the CFP brand licensing review and approval process for all retail merchandise, internal and external gifting, and promotional items.
  • Support national office Nike apparel program by researching product styles and embellishment (brand embroidery and/or screen print).
  • Work with various internal departments and external partners to order and distribute merchandise, uniforms and gifting for CFP staff, stakeholders, volunteers, talent, and participating teams.
  • Manage internal merchandise inventory, storage areas, and gift orders.
  • Support marketing initiatives and collaborations with CFP’s merchandise partner and licensing agency.

Other:
  • Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external CFP constituents.
  • Assist with day-to-day administrative needs such as answering office phone calls, returning electronic correspondence, department mailings and deliveries, and monitoring progress and deadlines of various projects.

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Preferred applicable accounting, business, branding, licensing, and/or project management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn Adobe Photoshop, Beanworks, Jotform, and QuickBooks
  • Ability to prioritize, manage, and bring multiple projects to completion
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of all corporate, personnel, and research matters

Offers for the program are expected to be extended to candidates in early April 2026. Selected candidates will attend an expense-paid orientation trip during the summer of 2026.
