About the Position

Golden State is looking for an Analyst to serve as the lead architect for our data storytelling. In this role, you won’t just manage data, you will transform complex internal and external data sets into actionable business insights and performance KPIs. You will be instrumental in helping our team maintain a competitive advantage through visualization of data that drives revenue across all properties, including the Warriors, the Valkyries, and Chase Center. This position reports to the Vice President, Partnership Insights.

This is a full-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Corporate Partnerships team’s Two Circles/KORE CRM platform and applicable Tableau data visualizations
  • Work with stakeholders across Corporate Partnerships and cross-departmental teams to understand the business, collect requirements, and design reports that are accurate, timely, & insightful
  • Drive the long-term success of Corporate Partnership data resourcing by overseeing system health and compliance while leading cross-functional training to ensure high user adoption and data literacy
  • Leverage Generative AI and automation tools to streamline data cleaning, automate routine reporting cycles, and refine team SOPs, reducing manual output and increasing time spent on high-level strategic analysis
  • Build and maintain a warehouse of both first party and 3rd party corporate partnership data sets used for recapping across all properties
  • Manage the NBA revenue reporting submission process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery and support the WNBA and/or G League submissions as needed 
  • Stay up to date on the latest BI technologies and best practice
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science/Data Science, or equivalent work experience; master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years working on a data team, preferably in a BI or reporting role
  • Expertise with SQL and data manipulation, preferably in BigQuery
  • Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Google Suite (advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel); experience with CRM systems such as Two Circles/KORE and Salesforce preferred
  • Utilization of sports industry measurement services that capture media, viewership, PR, sentiment, brand health, and acquisition attributed to a partnership
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to balance multiple projects in a demanding and fast-paced work environment

Time Commitment

  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed

Compensation

  • $95,000 - 100,000 + Bonus + Commission (OTE approx. $130,000)
