About the Position

The Golden State Warriors are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist to play a meaningful role in our accounting department by ensuring the timely billing and collections of payments from our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for the processing of cash receipts, A/R postings & ledger reporting, invoicing, collections, journal entry creation, and account reconciliations. This position is viewed as a critical role for the success of the accounting department and you are required to have a strong accounting and application background, as well as a deep understanding of accounting principles. In addition, you are positive, ambitious and possess strong financial skills and verbal ability in communication with management.

This is a full-time position based in San Francisco, CA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research cash receipts, coding, and posting of receipts for multiple companies
  • Research and apply unallocated cash daily
  • Generate and provide invoices to customers and departmental leads
  • Generate A/R aging reports and review for correctness
  • Interact with departments to coordinate on collection of aged A/R
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of cash and A/R accounts
  • Review and provide monthly financial and management reports
  • Assist in preparation of audit requests as needed
  • Assist in financial management and analysis, as requested

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of accounts receivable experience
  • NetSuite accounting experience preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency
  • Hands-on data entry and knowledge of accounts receivable including cash application and collection preferred
  • Excellent customer service and strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationship across various internal departments
  • Work cohesively with other departments and co-workers as part of a team
  • Ability to thrive within a dynamic team environment while focusing on details and resolving numerical problems
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up
  • Maintain confidentiality of pertinent company data
