About the Position

The Pest Control operator will maintain the premise of Chase Center free of pests while focusing on food preparation areas, public spaces where arena guests are present, back of house spaces, and exterior areas surrounding the arena. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Custodial & Operations.

This is a full-time position based in San Francisco with frequent travel to Oakland and Santa Cruz sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the arena free of pests paying special attention to food preparation areas and public spaces where arena guests are present
  • Develop and follow preventative maintenance schedule for all pest control needs
  • Document insecticide/rodenticide application and new insect/rodent activity daily
  • Advise manager of any and all sanitation and structural problems that may cause pest/rodent problems
  • Oversee ordering and inventory control of insecticides/rodenticides and application equipment
  • Maintain and monitor exterior rodent bait stations
  • Catalog all work and projects through the building maintenance work order system to establish a record for reference showing a history of labor and materials
  • Operate equipment such as hand tools, power tools, sprayer application equipment
  • Travel to Santa Cruz, Warehouse, and Oakland Facilities as needed to perform any pest needs.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience & Skills

  • High school diploma/G.E.D. or equivalent work experience
  • State of California certification for General Pest and Rodent Control; Must complete sixteen (16) hour re-certification seminar to meet State of California Structural pest control board certification
  • 5 years of related pest control experience
  • Knowledge and proper use of all procedures, techniques, machines, materials, equipment and tools used in pest control
  • Ability to follow preventive maintenance schedules

Time Commitment

  • Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand/walk/kneel/crawl/climb throughout shift
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
  • While performing the duties of the job, you will regularly be exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, toxic chemicals and high noise levels

Compensation

  • $32.00 - 34.00 per hour + Bonus
