JOB SUMMARY:

The Utah Jazz are looking for a skilled and dedicated Team Photographer to join our organization. This role is essential for capturing high-quality images of all home and road games, community outreach events, and other key moments with a creative eye. The ideal candidate will have a focused background in sports photography, be adept at managing and editing photos, be able to collaborate effectively with various departments, and have a keen eye to develop visually compelling images for digital media platforms. The role also requires an exceptional ability to produce quality work within tight timeframes, a high level of professional decorum and confidentiality, with consistent travel during the year, both in and out of season. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• In-game and pregame photography: capture dynamic and engaging photos on game days with a primary focus on in-game activities as well as pregame moments for Utah Jazz home and road games. Ensure that all significant moments and events are documented with high-quality images.
• Photo Management: Organize, manage, and process internal and external photography requests. Manages timely handoff of images to social team and other stakeholders.
• Creative Shoots: Ability to lead and conceptualize editorial/studio style photography
• Event Photography: Lead photography efforts for community outreach events, corporate partnership events, and other special events as assigned. Provide coverage that highlights the organization’s involvement and initiatives.
• Photo Editing: Edit and prepare photos for use across Utah Jazz digital platforms and creative assets. Ensure that all images are polished and aligned with the team’s branding.
• Digital Asset Management: Execute digital asset management workflows to build and maintain the Utah Jazz photo database via ScorePlay or similar systems. Ensure the database is organized and up-to-date in a timely fashion.
• A fundamental understanding operating high-end video cameras and audio equipment as needed.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the basketball operations, creative, social media, and video teams on assigned projects. Provide photographic content that supports and enhances team efforts.
• Team Building: Work in an advisory role to assist the development and growth of a photography intern, providing leadership and helping direct game/event coverage.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
• This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess.
• This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
• This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
