The Salt Lake City Stars are seeking members to add to their statistical crew, which helps input the game’s events to the box score and play-by-play that is distributed to teams, media and the NBA/NBA G League. The Stars are specifically looking for members to call the game for the primary inputter and others who can assist with secondary statistical input.

  • Communicate (or “call”) all the game’s events (i.e., made shot, missed shot, assist, block) for the primary statistical inputter
  • Game night duties may include inputting play-by-play events into the NBA Global Statistical System’s equipment
  • Will be required to participate in virtual game stat training prior to the start of the season

  • Prior experience with statistical input and/or calling games preferred
  • Must have solid knowledge of the NBA and NBA G League rules and regulations, plus statistics and basketball terminology
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must be able to come to work promptly and regularly
  • Must be able to take direction and work well with others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adjust and adapt quickly in high-stress situations



  • The Stars will host 24 regular season home games spanning from November to April, with the potential of postseason games to follow
  • Please be aware that many games fall on weekends and several are played during traditional holiday seasons
  • Home games typically start at 7 p.m., with stats crew arriving no later than 6:30 p.m. to be briefed for the game



  • This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
  • This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess.
  • This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
  • This person must be able to lift 30 lbs.
