JOB SUMMARY:
The position will play an important role in supporting the Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth partnership sales and operations departments within Smith Entertainment Group. This internship provides the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that contribute to the organization’s success while developing personal and business acumen. The right candidate will communicate well with stakeholders across multiple teams, be a strong problem-solver, a quick learner, and will have experience working with large datasets.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the daily operations of Business Development Sales and Operations teams.
- Aid project organization, creative ideation, and deck creation and other creative projects.
- Partner with Account Executives and Directors to identify, track, and advance high-value leads and events, delivering clear reporting to the Business Development team to drive stronger relationships and measurable departmental success.
- Assist in marketing-related tasks such as driving interest in sales events, sales campaigns, etc.
- Develop new and innovative lead gen strategies and assist in researching and building local, regional, and national lead lists for corporate partners, season ticket members, group buyers, and premium seating buyers.
- Assist in networking events, event planning, event coordination, and golf tournaments.
- Support the Business Development department in all other tasks and needs and exemplifies a willingness to complete tasks.
- Take ownership of assignments and complete them with positivity and attention to detail

- Ability to work a non-traditional schedule as sports and entertainment events may require, including extended days and hours, holidays, and weekends.
- Willing to provide own vehicle for transportation on event days.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening.
- Creative competencies in Canva is a plus!
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
- This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess.
- This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
