JOB SUMMARY:

The Benefits & Wellness Manager is responsible for the administration, compliance, and strategic management of SEG’s employee benefits and wellness programs. Working as a partner to the SVP of Human Resources, this role ensures that all benefits offerings are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with organizational goals. The Benefits & Wellness Manager serves as the subject matter expert for benefits-related inquiries, compliance, and vendor management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Paylocity benefits administration and a passion for building a culture of health and well-being across the company.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer and manage all employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, wellness, and voluntary benefits.
  • Oversee benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations through Paylocity, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with benefits carriers, brokers, wellness vendors, and third-party administrators.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and other applicable laws).
  • Lead and coordinate open enrollment, benefits orientations, and employee communications.
  • Partner with payroll, HRIS, and finance teams to reconcile benefits deductions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Analyze benefits and wellness program data, identify trends, and make recommendations to enhance offerings and manage costs.
  • Manage leave of absence programs (FMLA, ADA, state leaves, and company-specific programs) in collaboration with HR and managers.
  • Develop, launch, and manage employee wellness initiatives that support physical, emotional, financial, and social well-being.
  • Coordinate wellness events such as health fairs, fitness challenges, mental health awareness campaigns, and preventive care initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend wellness vendors, tools, and partnerships to expand program impact.
  • Promote a culture of well-being through ongoing education, communication, and engagement strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Health, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in benefits administration, with at least 2 years focused on wellness program development or management.
  • Experience with Paylocity benefits administration is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of benefits compliance and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CEBS, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) a plus.
