Summary:

This role oversees the execution of safety and security operations for the Stockton Kings, the NBA G-League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings. Reporting to the Team Security Director, Team Security plays a key role in ensuring a safe and secure environment for players, coaches, and staff.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs):

• Oversee all aspects of team security operations, ensuring proactive and preventive safety measures across all activities.
• Integrate security planning into all home and away games, team travel, player appearances, and special events.
• Travel domestically with the team to provide on-site security for players, coaches, and staff; coordinate with venue, hotel, and airport security personnel as needed.
• Maintain ongoing communication and share best practices with other G-League team security personnel.
• Implement and uphold G-League Team Security Standards while continuously improving safety protocols.
• Conduct player and staff security orientation and awareness training, including personal safety best practices.
• Monitor player–fan interactions during games to ensure a safe and respectful environment on and around the bench area.
• Support players, coaches, and staff in interactions with law enforcement or regulatory agencies when necessary.
• Promptly report any unusual or critical incidents involving players, coaches, or staff to the Team Security Director and organizational leadership.
• Collaborate closely with the Team Security Director and arena security team to provide comprehensive protection measures during home games.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, comprehensive reports and presentations for internal and NBA leadership.
• Proven experience in personal protection and threat management.
• Strong background in emergency planning, business continuity, and crowd management.
• Demonstrated ability to remain composed and make sound decisions under pressure.
• High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive personal or organizational matters.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.

Education and Training:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.
• Additional education, training, or certifications in law enforcement, personal protection, defensive tactics, or security systems preferred.

Compensation:

The offer range for this full-time, exempt role is $80,000 - $85,000. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered. Total compensation & offer package will include the following:
