Position Summary:
The Street Team/Mascot embodies Dunkson's spirit, serving as an ambassador for the Stockton Kings in the Stockton/San Joaquin area at both on and off-site events. This role is crucial in fostering connections with fans, events, and organizations. Street Team members are expected to possess a positive, outgoing attitude, coupled with a diligent and detail-oriented work ethic. Their primary responsibility is to cultivate interest in the Stockton Kings by creating a vibrant and inclusive environment at various events and games.
Backup Mascot Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with game day activities, including greeting fans, engaging with the crowd, participating in theme nights, and assisting with on-court promotions.
- Support off-site events each month (e.g., special events, partnership appearances, community events, festivals) to promote the Stockton Kings.
- Maintain and care for the mascot costume.
- Engage fans at both on and off-site events.
Street Team Duties & Responsibilities:
- Act as a brand ambassador for the Stockton Kings to enhance brand awareness.
- Assist with promotional activities at Stockton Kings events, both within and outside Stockton Arena.
- Contribute to expanding the Stockton Kings' database through community engagement.
- Support the game presentation, community, and sales team on game days with Fan Experiences and Pregame activities.
- Provide a unique, memorable experience for guests with exceptional customer service.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently.
- Understand the purpose of each event and execute with professionalism.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Highly motivated and energetic with outstanding non-verbal communication skills.
- Prior mascot or acting experience preferred.
- Comfortable performing in front of audiences.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
- Enthusiastic, passionate, and reliable.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Able to handle event setup, execution, and breakdown.
- Maintains a positive and professional attitude.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
