Job Summary: The Performance Marketing Intern is responsible for providing a wide range of support to the Marketing team throughout the season. This person will be a valuable resource assisting with various tasks and projects which will include marketing support for various ticket products, retail promotions, Student Ticket Program and college outreach, fan engagement and more!
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Supports targeted campaigns to drive awareness, ticket and merch sales, and the distribution of engaging content.
- Effectively works with the Marketing and Creative departments to execute marketing and media campaigns.
- Proactively assists with project management of creative requests for internal clients.
- Supports the development, planning and execution of marketing promotions for Student Ticket Program and college outreach.
- Supports direct marketing channels, email and SMS with planning, execution and reporting for various marketing campaigns.
- Assists in the development, planning and execution of the Team Store Item of the Game program and special merchandise releases.
- Anticipates hurdles, solves problems, and offers solutions.
- Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with all departments.
- Additional duties as assigned by Director, Marketing.
Qualifications:
- College Majors in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field preferred
- Familiarity with Shopify, Google Analytics and/or email marketing is a plus
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize projects and adapt quickly to a fast-paced work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively about solutions to complex problems
- Desire for continued learning and development
- Exceptional writing and proofing skills
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook a must
- Previous experience using project management software preferred
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
- Passion for the sports and entertainment industry
To qualify for Kings University internships, you must be:
- Currently enrolled in college or have graduated within 12 months
- Able to commute to the downtown Sacramento office
- Able to work up to 25 hours per week
Interns will be compensated $17.50 per hour and receive benefits such as California Paid Sick Leave, discounts on Sacramento Kings merchandise, and free parking.
