About the Role
The Sacramento Kings are seeking a dynamic, growth-driven leader to join our Ticket Sales & Services team. As Manager, Sales Development, you will shape the future of our Account Executive team through coaching, training, and operational leadership. Every responsibility in this role focuses on driving the success and growth of your team while delivering an exceptional fan experience.
You will design and implement an ongoing training platform that emphasizes a customer-first approach for revenue generation. We’re looking for a high-performing sports sales professional who has not only excelled individually but has also inspired others through leadership, creativity, and results.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of early-career sales professionals, fostering growth and high performance.
- Motivate Account Executives to achieve and exceed weekly, monthly, and annual revenue and activity goals.
- Design and deliver training and coaching programs that instill a customer-first culture, equipping team members to deliver personalized, above-and-beyond service.
- Oversee lead generation, distribution, and conversion strategies using data-driven insights.
- Develop tailored touch-point cadences for specific lead sources and product campaigns.
- Set and manage individual and team sales goals, ensuring consistent performance and growth.
- Drive adoption of advanced sales tools, including AI-based prospecting, CRM optimization, and video engagement platforms.
- Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to improve sales efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure team proficiency in CRM systems, ticketing platforms, and reporting tools.
- Track and report on sales performance, career progression, and skill development.
- Partner with HR and leadership on recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations.

What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in sports sales or related industries.
- Proven experience leading or mentoring peers in a sales environment, fostering growth and performance.
- Demonstrated success in sports ticket sales with a track record of exceeding goals.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop others.
- Passion for innovation and comfort with emerging sales technologies and tools.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional customer service acumen.
