Job Summary:
The Event Security Officer plays a key role in ensuring the safety and security of all guests, team members, and assets at Golden 1 Center. This position is responsible for monitoring activity throughout the arena, enforcing venue policies, and responding to any incidents to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
Availability & Compensation:
This is a part-time, event-based position with an hourly rate of $21.23/hr. Event team members must be available to work nights, weekdays, and weekends based on the Golden 1 Center events calendar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor guest flow through screening checkpoints to ensure safety, order, and efficiency.
- Enforce all Golden 1 Center policies and regulations with professionalism and consistency.
- Protect the safety of players, entertainers, officials, VIPs, and team members during events.
- Safeguard the arena, practice facility, and surrounding property from damage or unauthorized access.
- Escort employees during MTO runs to ensure safe transport of funds.
- Patrol the arena and surrounding grounds periodically, inspecting doors, gates, and windows for security.
- Monitor and record individuals entering the property during non-event hours.
- Inspect equipment, bags, and other items carried into the arena.
- Respond to emergencies and implement the Emergency Preparedness Plan as directed.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, property damage, and equipment malfunctions.
- Ensure all fire and safety equipment is operational and meets regulatory standards.
- Regulate pedestrian traffic at entrances to maintain an orderly flow.
- Report safety or security concerns promptly to management.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- One-year certificate from a college or technical school; or three to six months of related experience/training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates & Licenses:
- Valid California Driver’s License.
- Valid Guard Card or Proprietary Private Security Officer (PSO) license required.
- Must provide proof of Guard Card and certification of 40 hours of completed training with your application or resume.
