Job Summary: The Content Producer is responsible for developing and executing dynamic video content that advances the organization’s visual storytelling and brand objectives. This role is suited for a skilled creative professional with a strong production background who can lead projects from concept through delivery in a fast-paced professional sports environment.

 

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Lead the production of on- and off-court video content for the Sacramento Kings, Golden 1 Center and Stockton Kings across multiple platforms.

  • Edit and deliver high-impact video content that tells compelling, story-driven narratives and strengthens the brand voice.

  • Design and integrate motion graphics using Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop) to elevate overall production quality.

  • Develop, prepare for, and conduct engaging interviews with players, talent, and key stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with Content and Creative teams to craft compelling brand stories and short-form campaigns.

  • Own projects from concept through execution, including pre-production planning, on-site production, and post-production delivery.

  • Partner cross-functionally with internal departments (social media, marketing, partnerships, community, etc.) to support and enhance organizational storytelling initiatives.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to interns and junior team members, supporting their growth and development within the content team.

  • Organize, manage, and maintain media assets and archives using digital asset management systems (e.g., CatDV).

  • Oversee the equipment room, ensuring all gear is organized, maintained, and ready for production.

  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, including travel and non-traditional hours (nights, weekends, holidays).

  • Contribute to creative ideation, workflow improvements, and evolving content strategies.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience creating video content, preferably with a professional sports team or organization.

  • A strong foundation in video production, with a focus on storytelling, pacing, and visual execution, is essential. Experience in broadcasting, journalism, or communications is highly preferred. 

  • Proficient with Sony Mirrorless Cameras, Canon DSLR cameras, and RED Digital Cinema Camera.

  • Adept in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite

  • Robust knowledge of the NBA, entertainment, as well as pop and internet culture.

  • Creative visual storyteller.

  • Well-versed in interview and on-set production lighting

  • Familiar with field production audio equipment.

  • Experience with sound design and color correction

  • Proactively explores emerging technologies, including AI, to drive efficiency, innovation, and measurable improvements in team performance.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

  • Superior attention to detail, organization, and editing experience.

  • Self-starter motivated to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented workplace.
