Job Summary: The Sacramento Kings are seeking a highly skilled Art Director to join our award-winning creative team. This role is for a design-driven all-star—someone with exceptional visual taste, big ideas, and the ability to execute at the highest level across platforms. You’ll work closely with the VP of Creative and creative partners to concept and produce bold, culture-driven work that engages fans and makes Sacramento Proud. 

This is a hands-on creative role focused on craft, concepting, and execution, designed for a senior creative contributor who leads through ideas and execution 

Key Responsibility Areas: 

  • Partner closely with the creative team to concept and execute integrated campaigns. 
  • Design and deliver high-impact creative across digital, social, broadcast, print, and emerging platforms. 
  • Serve as a primary creative contributor, setting a high bar for visual quality, originality, and brand expression. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, brand, and content teams to bring ideas  
    to life. 
  • Translate brand and campaign strategy into cohesive visual systems and executions. 
  • Own projects from concept through final delivery, ensuring excellence at every stage 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design (or equivalent experience) with 6–8 years of professional design experience and an exceptional portfolio. Sports or agency experience is a strong plus. 
  • Outstanding design craft with a refined eye for typography, composition, and visual storytelling. 
  • Proven ability to concept and execute compelling creative ideas, owning work from concept through final execution. 
  • Strong understanding of branding and how to apply a visual language consistently across multiple touchpoints. 
  • Strategic thinker who understands how creative work supports broader brand and campaign goals. 
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite. 
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines. 
  • Collaborative, positive, and driven by a passion for creative excellence. 
  • Strong knowledge of NBA basketball and the Sacramento Kings’ history is a significant plus.
