Reports To: VP, AV & Broadcast Production 
FLSA Status: Part-time, Non- Exempt

Job Summary: Join our dynamic team at Golden 1 Center as an Audio/Visual Intern and immerse yourself in the world of live event broadcasting. As an Audio/Visual Intern, you will gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art broadcast equipment, making this an invaluable learning opportunity.

We are looking to fill the following positions:

Lighting & Audio Intern:

Support our lighting and audio operations (lighting/audio control room). This is a great opportunity for someone interested in live event production to learn how we manage in-venue lighting and sound in real time.

Content Archiving Intern:

Support our main control room to digitize and archive tapes. This intern would help us organize, transfer, and manage this content. A critical task for our long-term media strategy.

Engineering Intern:

Support system maintenance, assist with hardware/software troubleshooting, and gain exposure to the technical backbone of our operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the efficient management of audio and video content.

  • Contribute to the setup and operation of audio and video equipment.

  • Play a pivotal role in the control room during live events, ensuring a seamless broadcast experience.

  • Help prepare the arena for gameday events, including equipment setup and configuration.

  • Collaborate on creating and coordinating graphics for broadcasts.

Qualifications:

  • A deep understanding and passion for basketball.

  • Proficiency with DSLR and P2 cameras is essential.

  • A genuine interest in the field of broadcasting.

  • Knowledge of Adobe Premier and Photoshop is a definite advantage.

  • Prior experience with A/V equipment is a plus.

  • Capable of thriving in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

  • A friendly, professional, and outgoing personality.

  • Take initiative and maintain a positive attitude, committed to teamwork.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with and around celebrities without becoming distracted.

To qualify for Kings University internships, you must be:

  • Currently enrolled in college or have graduated within 12 months

  • Able to commute to the downtown Sacramento office

  • Able to work up to 25 hours per week

Interns will be compensated $16.50 per hour and receive benefits such as California Paid Sick Leave, discounts on Sacramento Kings merchandise, and free parking.
