We are seeking an experienced and motivated System Technician Level 2 to join our team. In this high-impact role, you will support all facets of Engineering for Player 15 Group, while playing a key role in broader department initiatives.
What You Will Do:
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize BMS platforms (e.g., Siemens, Alerton, Carrier, Compass, Varitec) to ensure effective climate control, energy efficiency, and system reliability.
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on sensors, controllers, actuators, and network devices related to HVAC and lighting automation.
- Support daily operation and event coordination of the ETC lighting system, including lighting schedules, zone adjustments, and fixture checks.
- Assist in the monitoring and basic troubleshooting of life safety systems, including fire alarm panels, smoke control systems, and emergency lighting.
- Coordinate with HVAC and electrical teams to ensure system integrations are functioning correctly.
- Participate in regular preventative maintenance routines for BMS hardware and associated infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate system documentation, including control drawings, network schematics, and system trends.
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams during system upgrades and service visits.
- Provide system performance feedback and recommend improvements to enhance arena efficiency and automation capabilities
- Provide general facilities support during event setup, live events, and teardown to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Assist with the placement of temporary infrastructure such as cable ramps, extension cords, and other event-related equipment.
- Coordinate with Event Managers and other departments to fulfill setup requirements in areas such as locker rooms, suites, arena bowl, and areas covered in setup sheet.
- Participate in pre-event walkthroughs to help identify and address any facility or logistical concerns.
- Respond promptly to radio calls during events for support with facility issues, adjustments, or requests.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment in both public and back-of-house areas before, during, and after events.
- Assist other Engineering team members or departments as needed to ensure successful event execution.
What We Need From Our HVAC Technician Level 2:
- Familiarity with BMS platforms such as Siemens, Alerton, Carrier, Compass, and Varitec.
- Working knowledge of fire alarm and life safety systems.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and network documentation.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and event schedules.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working at heights, in tight spaces, and in various weather conditions.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and event shifts.
Experience/ Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 3–5 years of experience in building automation or low-voltage systems in commercial or industrial environments.
- Experience working with chilled water systems and HVAC system integration.
- Familiarity with IP-based devices, low-voltage wiring, and control networks.
- Hands-on experience with lighting control systems, preferably ETC.
