We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Lead Engineer with the Facility Operations Department. This position will be responsible for evaluating and troubleshooting problems, perform repairs, preventive maintenance and initiate viable long-term corrective measures. The Lead Engineer shall be proficient in multiple trades’ skill sets including but not limited to Refrigeration, High Voltage and Low Voltage Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, and General maintenance repairs. Must have good knowledge of Central Plant Operations, Energy Management and Life Safety Systems.

What Will You Do:

  • Engineering Lead will assist the Building Manager to plan, assign and manage all work requirements associated with corrective maintenance work orders.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures to assure that the facility is properly maintained
  • Will program, monitor and adjust Building Automation Systems to fit the needs of building usage
  • Will assist with supervision of third-party contracts and inspect all completed work
  • Shall initiate, plan prepare and schedule projects and building preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Work events as needed, assist Building Manager to evaluate and prioritize all work requests.
  • Keeps facility in clean and orderly condition
  • Assists in event setup and tear down during high demand periods
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

 What We Need from Our Lead Engineer:

  • Accurately and consistently document tasks and repairs.
  • Adhere to all company and department policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Must follow safe working techniques and procedures.

Experience/ Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in the successful performance of maintenance duties as a skilled technician in one or more of the following: maintenance, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, HVAC maintenance/repair or building maintenance, and plumbing required.
  • Experience in large, multiuse facility required.
  • Experience in a management or leadership role preferred.
  • Refrigeration, Electrician, or Plumbing Trades Certification preferred.
