We are seeking an experienced and motivated HVAC Technician Level 2 to join our team. In this high-impact role, you will support all facets of Engineering for Player 15 Group, while playing a key role in broader department initiatives.
What You Will Do:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on commercial HVAC systems, including air handlers, chillers, boilers, heat pumps, VAV systems, cooling towers, and related controls.
- Respond to HVAC-related service calls and work orders, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Support HVAC system readiness for games, concerts, and special events, including pre- and post-event inspections.
- Inspect and replace air filters, belts, bearings, and other components.
- Use diagnostic tools and meters to identify issues with equipment and controls; escalate complex issues to senior technicians or supervisors as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and system performance logs.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and compliance standards (e.g., EPA, OSHA).
- Coordinate with other departments and vendors as needed during repairs or installations.
- Provide general facilities support during event setup, live events, and teardown to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Assist with the placement of temporary infrastructure such as cable ramps, extension cords, and other event-related equipment.
- Coordinate with Event Managers and other departments to fulfill setup requirements in areas such as locker rooms, suites, arena bowl, and areas covered in setup sheet.
- Participate in pre-event walkthroughs to help identify and address any facility or logistical concerns.
- Respond promptly to radio calls during events for support with facility issues, adjustments, or requests.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment in both public and back-of-house areas before, during, and after events.
- Assist other Engineering team members or departments as needed to ensure successful event execution.
What We Need From Our HVAC Technician Level 2:
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Comfortable working at heights, in tight spaces, and in various weather conditions.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and event shifts.
Experience/ Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 3–5 years of experience in commercial HVAC systems.
- EPA 608 Universal Certification.

- This position works mainly indoors, removed from extreme weather; exposure to weather is <5%
- M- Medium Work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
