Player 15 Group is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as the Manager, Ticket Sales for the Valley Suns, the NBA G League affiliate of the Phoenix Suns. This position will be responsible for leading and managing the ticket sales and retention strategy for Valley Suns, with a primary emphasis on Season Tickets, Group Sales and Membership Service & Retention. The Senior Manager, Ticket Sales will promote internal collaboration, prioritize the recruitment, hiring and training our team members, and serve as the internal expert on all things Valley Suns ticketing. The ideal candidate will have the strategic expertise to help build a leading sales team and culture.

What You Will Do:
This position will perform duties which include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead a group of Ticket Sales Team Members focused on selling, servicing and retaining season ticket, group and partial accounts.
  • Collaborate closely with the Vice President, Business Operations to review and develop new reporting insights that will aide in our business execution.
  • Oversee team of Ticket Sales Team Members focused on new business generation for group sales, new plan sales, & partial plans.
  • Responsible for individual ticket sales goals and objectives, at the discretion of the Vice President, Business Operations.
  • Attend regular client meetings to observe, coach and assist business development sales team members.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Develop strategic new business relationships locally, regionally, and nationally.
  • Effectively qualify leads and maintain an active pipeline of potential business opportunities.
  • Continually manage and update individual sales pipeline through CRM platform to provide accurate, reliable information for sales and renewal forecasting for executive leadership.
    • Significant understanding of CRM and participation in sales tracking for multiple properties
  • Assist and engage with prospects and partners during Valley Suns games and events.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments in a positive and respectful manner.
 

What we need from our Ticket Sales Manager, Valley Suns:
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Previous working experience with Microsoft CRM Dynamics/KORE is a plus.
  • Previous working experience with Archtics or another similar ticketing system
  • Likely has support-level direct reports and/or leads project teams.
  • Sets a positive example for co-workers.
  • Experience in presenting to executive teams.
  • Understands and leverages strengths and actively identifies development opportunities for self and others.
  • Key contact for clarification, guidance or course correction on work they are leading.
  • When delegating tasks, weighs motivation and development opportunity as well as performance.
  • Maintain bi-weekly meetings with team members to understand at risk group and patrial accounts and develop detailed strategies to win back those accounts.
  • Maintain bi-weekly meetings with team members to coach on pipeline and establish areas of opportunity/action items.
  • Maintain bi-weekly meeting with VP, Business Operations
  • Program to coordinate sales team member’s outreach/focus.
  • Maintain weekly deal meeting to focus on strategy and coaching in team environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage projects/tasks simultaneously.
 
Experience/Education Requirements:
  • College degree- BA/ BS or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of full time management experience 
  • A proven record of understanding customer needs in a commission, bonus, and/or metrics-driven environment
  • A self-driven and dedicated attitude, disciplined work ethic and motivation to drive revenue growth, while creating long-term customer relationships.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in sales
  • Preferably with a professional sports team or league

  • Ability to work on-site - this is not a remote position

  • This position has a variable schedule based on Arena needs which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.  When work is required on evenings or weekends this position can flex to take other days off during the week
  • Local travel may be required for work-related events, including some overnight travel up to 10% of the time
  • This position works mainly indoors, removed from extreme weather; exposure to weather (<5%)
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met
  • Standing for extended periods of time.
  • Position is predominately computer-based, requiring the use of a computer monitor
  • Must be able to carry a conversation both on the phone and in person
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English
