Internship Term: Spring 2026 (January - May)
Internship Location: on-site in Indianapolis, IN
Anticipated Time Commitment: approximately 20 hours per week

The Broadcast Engineering Intern will assist the broadcast engineering department with various responsibilities including maintaining the video edit suite and video library, serving as the production engineering assistant for live events, maintaining systems on non-event days, and more.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with video edit suite and video library.
  • Serve as production engineering assistant for live events including Pacers, Fever, and Boom television network broadcasts and in-arena shows.
  • Conduct video research.
  • Assist with camera set-up and tear-down, cable maintenance, and documentation, integrating new equipment as needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Enrolled in a college or university program as a junior, senior, or graduate student.
  • Pursuing a degree in video production or another related major.
  • Knowledge of broadcast cameras, non-linear editing systems, character generators, lighting, and computers is preferred.
  • Prior experience in production is preferred.
  • Excellent attitude.
  • Learning mentality with an ability and willingness to be taught.
  • Good communication, both written and verbal.
  • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
