SUMMARY
This role is focused on threat assessment, intelligence gathering, and investigative support to ensure the safety and security of personnel, events, and facilities. Key responsibilities include developing threat assessments for franchises, events, and talent; monitoring media and public safety sources; supporting executive protection teams; and tracking protests or demonstrations that may impact operations. The position also assists in workplace safety through intelligence on potential threats like harassment or workplace violence.
Additionally, the role involves reviewing upcoming events for security impacts, analyzing past incidents for trends and mitigation strategies, and maintaining a strong information-sharing network with public and private partners. Investigative duties include conducting and managing internal investigations, reviewing incident reports, collecting evidence, conducting interviews, summarizing findings to writing, and coordinating with insurance and risk management teams to ensure thorough documentation and response.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop threat assessments for franchises, scheduled events, and talent as guidance for relevant stakeholders
- Identify news, social media, and public safety sources/contacts for all relevant franchises and event genres
- Support Pacers and Fever Executive Protection teams by providing intelligence products on topics including but not limited to people of interest, venue advances, notable talent, etc.
- Monitor protests and demonstrations that may impact events/assets and provide notification to appropriate stakeholders
- Support PS&E Threat Assessment Group (Security, Legal, Human Resources) by providing intelligence products on topics including but not limited to cases of potential workplace violence, stalking or harassing of employees, anonymous letters, emails, social media posts, etc.
- Provide timely communications and actionable intelligence to support the protection of people, assets, and infrastructure as it relates to business operations
- Review upcoming events and related incidents that may impact security/business operations
- Review past incidents/events to identify trends, risks, and mitigation strategies
- Develop/maintain an information sharing network amongst public safety and private sector partners
- Maintain awareness of current threat landscape and emerging security threats
- Investigations management – Conduct and manage investigations: personnel, administrative, internal, safety, etc. into various matters as required. Reduce findings and recommendations to writing.
- Review and oversee investigations incident reports (medical, safety, fire marshal, security etc.) to ensure completeness.
- Coordinate with appropriate staff or other witnesses to gather necessary additional information, including video, interviews, and statements.
- Summarize findings to inform PS&E leadership, Security team, Facility Operations, Risk Manager, etc.
- Coordinate with PS&E Risk Manager and insurance broker and ensure they have full information to manage incidents and claims. Review reports and investigations, identify information gaps, cause follow up investigations, interviews, calls, video reviews, etc. to ensure full information is gathered and documented.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Political Science, Public Safety Management or a related field. A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered.
- Must have a minimum of two years’ relevant experience in intelligence or investigative support.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret instructions and reports.
- Ability to write reports, briefings and correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from PS&E management and the public.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Experience and knowledge of MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
