Facility Operations/Event Staff: Conversion Crew
SUMMARY
This position assists in the completion of house equipment set-up, supervises, and performs various maintenance and housekeeping duties. In addition, this position will work with Gainbridge Fieldhouse management to build upon and continuously improve current processes, so the overall operation runs smoothly and efficiently. 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain a consistent focus on standardization of operational processes and produce Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) for all night operations tasks (conversions, housekeeping, etc.).
  • Procurement, tracking, and coordination with all contract labor improving production and maintaining an excel labor budget. Ability to develop an incentive program for contract labor personnel.
  • Assist in the development and release of all safety initiatives as they relate to 2nd and 3rd shift staff and vendors.
  • Maintain and improve facility organization and cleanliness. Regularly auditing areas and maintaining accountability for night shift level of detail and organization.
  • Assist with planning and scheduling of event set-ups and willingness to learn from supervisor’s historical setup standards and practices with an eye on constant improvement.
  • Assist with the management of offsite warehouse.
  • Supervising conversion and housekeeping crews under the direction of the Facility Operations Manager.
  • Assist in completion of house equipment set-up before events when necessary.
  • Assist in set-up, and/or cleaning of basketball floor, installation of goals, ice for ice events, set-up and cleaning of courtside seating and tables, installation and cleaning of hockey boards and glass and installation of other related equipment.
  • Assist in the assembly, disassembly, and installation of staging and the assembly, disassembly, and set-up of risers and temporary seating.
  • Shovel snow and remove ice from around the facility when needed.
  • Mop basketball floor after practice sessions, clean glass on backboards, and mop spills on concourses or in hallways.
  • Perform miscellaneous routine maintenance duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:
To perform this job optimally, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Must be flexible to work overtime, a variety of hours including weekends, and be on call when required. The position is mostly during the overnight hours.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
1-3 years operations or related experience required.

Digital Literacy:
The employee should have a proven understanding of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and the Internet and the ability to adapt to new computer programs

Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret instructions and reports. Ability to respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Open to studying and education in basic Spanish speaking.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to measure and estimate along with intermediate math and analytical skills for evaluating projects and developing and supervising budgets.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to interpret directions. Must be a confident, self-starter, willing to learn from mistakes and authoritatively move forward! Must have the ability to learn quickly from indirect training (on the job by watching and asking questions) and then assess and be responsible for the situation/process in the future.
