This is an entry level graphic design position for the Orlando Solar Bears. The pay is $12.50/hr. This is a great opportunity to start with a sports organization to begin your career in sports and graphic design.

JOB SUMMARY

Solar Bears graphic designer to create content for marketing purposes. This includes creating brochures, e-blasts, graphics for social media, motion graphics and other forms of paid marketing. The graphic designer will also create all digital elements for in-game purposes and assist the marketing team in the creation of video content.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create graphics to be displayed on social media, e-blasts and team website.
• Prepare art for paid marketing strategies – billboards, PPC display ads, Facebook ads, etc.
• Produce brochures and other marketing print materials.
• Prepare files for print vendors.
• File management: archiving, manipulating and distributing Solar Bears art files.
• Prepare print jobs for proofs and final outputs.
• Research and review promotional strategies of other organizations and participate in brainstorming sessions and weekly marketing meetings.
• Work with the marketing team to ensure deadlines are met.
• Come up with creative graphic ideas to engage our fans through digital and print media.
• Produce motion graphics for social media and in-game elements.
• Assist the marketing team in the creation of video content for social media and in-game content.
• Cut, edit and export video content for social and in-game.
• Create, edit and distribute e-blasts.
• Assist in the creation of marketing plans, in-game promotions and community events
• Makes decisions with little or no choice as to the methods and procedures used in achieving results.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 4-year degree in graphic design or equivalent experience required.
• 2 years of graphic design experience required.
• 1 year of motion graphics and video production required.
• Proficient in Adobe Design products including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premier required.
• Ability to create graphics quickly under short notice.
• Ability to research proper graphic sizes to be used in specific marketing strategies. (i.e. dimensions for Facebook ads, PPC display ads, etc.)
• Ability to cut and edit video content.
• Ability to come up with creative ideas and content independently.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office products and other related computer skills required.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on business writing skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects.
• Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
• Strong team synergy skills and ability to work collaboratively with others whom you have no direct authority over.
• Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
