DeVos Residents will support the department on various responsibilities, tasks, and projects/assignments, with immediate supervisory direction coming from their manager and the department head.  

 

Innovation

  • Assist Innovation Program w/ key initiatives, projects, and events. This includes the Orlando Magic Venture Challenge, Blackstone Launchpad Sprint, and Internal Innovation Challenge.
  • Research current technologies and emerging trends as it relates to providing value around specified organizational priorities.
  • Promote the spirit of innovation across Magic and affiliate staff through programming and engagement opportunities.

 

Business Strategy

  • Assist the Business Strategy team w/evaluating the Rewards Program and sharing results and insights
  • Reporting metrics related to Global Partnerships Solutions & Insights department
  • Reporting related to various Digital Marketing campaigns

 

Digital Marketing

  • Assist the Digital Marketing team w/ select events and initiatives
  • Track and report various campaigns related to Digital Marketing

 

  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in the DeVos Sports Management Program at University of Central Florida.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends and be on-call as necessary based on the changing priorities of the department.
    • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products and other related computer skills required.
    • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
    • Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on business writing skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
  • Strong team synergy skills and ability to work collaboratively with others whom you have no direct authority over.
  • Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills.
