Are you an experienced and customer-centric Cyber Security professional? Join our team at the Oklahoma City Thunder and play a crucial role in identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security measures, and ensuring the overall integrity of our digital assets! As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will be responsible for safeguarding our organization's information systems, networks, and data from cyber threats and probable security breaches. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining a secure environment that aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
 
In this role you will:
  • Monitor network and system logs, security alerts, and other sources of potential threats. Detect and analyze security incidents promptly and coordinate with relevant teams to implement appropriate incident response procedures.
  • Conduct regular assessments of our systems and networks to identify potential weaknesses and security gaps. Collaborate with the IT team to prioritize and address vulnerabilities effectively.
  • Maintain and manage various security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus, and encryption systems, to ensure continuous protection against cyber threats.
  • Assist in developing, updating, and implementing security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead security awareness training sessions for employees, educating them about standard processes and potential security risks, to create a security-conscious culture within the organization.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of security incidents to identify the root cause, extent of impact, and potential remediation strategies to prevent future occurrences.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber threats, hacking techniques, and security trends. Analyze threat intelligence reports and incorporate relevant findings into the organization's security measures.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to support security audits, assessments, and compliance reviews. Address any identified issues and assist in implementing corrective actions.
  • Generate regular reports on security incidents, threat landscapes, and overall security posture. Present findings to management and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
What you bring to the role:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, a related field or equivalent work experience or military experience
  • Demonstrable experience working as a Cyber Security Analyst or in a similar security-related role
  • Solid grasp of information security principles, standards and protocols
  • Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and vulnerability scanning solutions preferred
  • Experienced with security risk assessment methodologies and industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, or CISA preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of network protocols and architectures, as well as system administration on various operating systems
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex technical information to non-technical collaborators
  • Ability to work patiently and efficiently with people at all levels of the organization in a support and training role while being in adverse conditions and tight deadlines
 
Additional details:
Work schedule will include office hours plus work national coverage home games and events that will include evenings, weekends and holidays. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to support three metro OKC area locations. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds, crouch, and climb ladders and stairs. Primary work location will be the Thunder corporate office located in downtown Oklahoma City at Paycom Center. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Manager, IT Systems and Security. Employees are encouraged to be vaccinated for COVID-19.
