Communications/Community Relations: Media/Public Relations Servicing
PRIMARY PURPOSE: 
The Media Relations/Community Relations Manager assists the Director of Media Relations in the publicizing of the Las Vegas Aces’ on and off-court activities. 
 
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
  • Creation of game notes prior to each game
  • Writing, distribution and posting of postgame stories 
  • Writing, distribution and posting of preview stories
  • Entering statistical data into excel sheets
  • Writing, distribution and posting of press releases 
  • Maintaining credential database and distribute credentials
  • Distributing information packets to visiting teams and national broadcasters
  • Set up and oversite of press room/press row 
  • Updating of team website
  • Facilitating interviews with media 
  • Attending media interviews, community events and other Aces' team events
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • At least 3 years of work experience, or its equivalent, in athletics media relations/community relations at the collegiate or professional level
  • College degree in an applicable field
     
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to communicate in English, in both written and oral forms
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, In Design, Photoshop
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor 
  • Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and the ability to build strong interpersonal relationships 
  • Possess attention to detail, ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, and establish and maintain an effective professional working relationship with employees 
  • Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail
 
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Evening and weekend work hours
  • Some travel required
