The Texas Legends, the NBA G League affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks, are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Game Day Assistant to provide exceptional birthday party services during home games. This role involves ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience for birthday parties and their guests.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome birthday parties upon arrival at the venue.
- Coordinate with the Events Coordinator to gather information about the birthday party schedule and special requests.
- Set up designated party areas with decorations, seating arrangements, and any additional amenities.
- Facilitate the distribution of party favors, promotional items, and giveaways to birthday guests.
- Assist in organizing on-court or in-game experiences for the birthday celebrant and their groups, such as fan tunnel participation and locker room tours.
- Monitor and ensure a safe and orderly environment for all birthday party attendees.
- Engage with parents and guardians to address any special needs or concerns during the event.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive overall experience.
- Collaborate with the concessions team to coordinate food and beverage orders for the birthday party, ensuring timely delivery.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improving the birthday party experience based on customer interactions and observations.
Qualifications:
- Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in coordinating party setups.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Customer-focused mindset and a genuine passion for creating memorable experiences.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on the game schedule.
- Must be comfortable standing, walking, and engaging in physical activities for extended periods.
- Previous experience in event coordination, customer service, or hospitality is a plus.
- Knowledge of basketball and familiarity with the Texas Legends team is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry moderate weights for setting up decorations and arranging party areas.
- Mobility to navigate the venue and escort birthday groups to various locations.
