Texas Legends | Legends Locker
The Texas Legends are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Merchandising Associate to join the NBA Retailer of the year Legends Locker. This position will help create an exceptional shopping experience for fans while supporting the daily operations of the Legends Locker merchandise store and game-day retail locations.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with merchandise selection, sizing, product questions, and purchases.
- Operate the store’s Point-of-Sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and visually appealing merchandise area.
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and preparing merchandise for sale.
- Support game-day merchandise operations, including setup, sales, restocking, and closing procedures.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, particularly during home games.
- Assist with other merchandising and retail duties as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous retail or customer service experience required.
- Previous experience operating a POS system required.
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Professional, friendly, and approachable personality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be available to work all or the majority of Texas Legends home games, including evenings, weekends, and other scheduled game-day events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in sports, apparel, or merchandise retail.
- Familiarity with basketball or professional sports merchandise.
- Experience with inventory management and merchandising.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during high-volume sales periods.
Game-Day Availability
Game-day availability is an important part of this position. Candidates must be able to commit to working all or the majority of Texas Legends home games throughout the season. Home games may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
