The 3-time WNBA Champions Los Angeles Sparks are growing! We are seeking a Social Media Assistant (Seasonal, Part-Time), who will be responsible for supporting the Sparks digital strategy, content creation, and related graphic design efforts on a variety of projects across all digital and social media platforms. We are looking for an individual who has a passion for women’s sports and creating content! This position will work under the direction of the Sr Manager of Social. This is a non-exempt, seasonal part-time role at $22/hrly for the duration of the 2026 WNBA season. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create content and assist with the day-to-day management of Sparks social accounts
  • Optimize content for each social platform in terms of sizing, relevance, and timing
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and manage weekly social publishing calendars
  • Assist with live coverage/content of all home games and community events on social platforms 
  • Research trends for social media use; Monitor trends and analytics across platforms to pitch platform-specific content ideas 
  • Other projects and duties as assigned 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Have knowledge and basic understanding of WNBA team for social media use and analytics to inform content decisions
  • Ability to create and publish content on social media platforms in a timely manner
  • Must be organized with great attention to details
  • Strong communication skills and ability to execute feedback when given
  • Team player who can work collaboratively
  • Comfortable with performing in a fast-paced environment
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent education and experience preferred  
  • 1-2+ years of experience in digital / social content creation or production
  • Knowledge of all social media platforms, basketball, and video-editing software is a must 
  • Experience managing professional social media accounts
  • Knowledgeable about WNBA players and teams; experience in professional sports is a plus
 
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Ability to work on-site for Sparks home games and events
