The 3-time WNBA Champions Los Angeles Sparks are seeking a Film Operations Intern who will assist the Scouting Analyst & Video Coordinator and coaching staff with all basketball film and video operations needs throughout the 2026 WNBA season. This role supports practice and game preparation by providing detailed video breakdowns, live coding, and film distribution for players, practices, games, and opponents. Through hands-on experience, game day responsibilities, and mentorship opportunities, our goal is to provide aspiring professionals with the tools they need to launch their career in basketball operations. This is a seasonal six-month internship from April 2026 through October 2026.

This is an unpaid internship and is for individuals who will receive college credit.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Practices & Games
  • Live code all Sparks practices and games using Hudl SportsCode, including remote live coding of road games from Los Angeles
  • Assure accurate recording, logging, and editing of practice and game film to support individual player and team analysis
  • Assist in preparation and distribution of post-practice and post-game film to coaches and players

Film Operations & Scouting Support
  • Work closely and collaborate daily with the Video Coordinator on film preparation, breakdowns, and analysis
  • Assist the Video Coordinator with creation, completion, and presentation of scouting film projects
  • Serve as a liaison and translator for video and scouting software and hardware as needed

Additional Support
  • Aid in game preparation and day-to-day basketball operations tasks as directed by the Video Coordinator or coaching staff

QUALIFICATIONS & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • Must be a rising sophomore, junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree or are currently enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution
  • Must be eligible to receive college credit for this internship and provide proof of enrollment and college credit eligibility
  • Strong interest in basketball operations, video analysis, and coaching support
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn Hudl SportsCode
  • Women’s basketball experience preferred, knowledge and familiarity with the WNBA more broadly, is a plus
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (as dictated by the WNBA calendar) required
