Ticket Sales and Services: Ticket Sales
JOB SUMMARY:
Promotes and acts as liaison for the organization to businesses, churches, schools and other groups to sell group seats and events to maximize revenue.

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
  • Selling group tickets for the Houston Rockets via telemarketing, electronic mail and corporate face‐to‐face presentations.
  • Selling season tickets, suite rentals and leases for the Houston Rockets.
  • Selling 3rd party group tickets for certain events for the Toyota Center.
  • Identifying prospects for each team via aggressive networking.
  • Generating ticket leads and maintaining the departmental database including inputting and updating.
  • Working all regular season games performing various duties.
  • Assist in creating new ideas to increase ticket sales.
  • Attaining ticket goals of department each season.
  • Displaying a One Team attitude.
  • Perform basic office functions as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
  • Candidate should be aggressive, competitive, professional, mature, and self-starting.
  • Strong communications/interpersonal skills are a necessity.
  • Prior telemarketing and/or sales experience are preferred but not essential.
  • Familiarity with database management with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Any experience working for a team, athletic department, or event is beneficial.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use handle or feel, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, communicate with others.
  • The vision requirement includes the ability to review written and electronic materials in both digital and physical format.
  • The employee must be able to transfer and move items for departmental needs.
