The Dallas Wings are seeking a Community and Foundation Intern. The Community and Foundation Intern will have the opportunity to observe and practice activating community impact programs, maintaining and growing relationships with community organizations through community engagement, and sports philanthropy activated by the Dallas Wings Community Foundation.

Areas you will be learning about:
- Leveraging sports as a vehicle to drive impact and social change through community programs and events.
- Maximizing impact through community engagement, volunteerism, and fundraising.
- Cross departmental collaboration to maximize social impact and drive revenue.
- Non-profit management to include volunteer management, board governance, and donor engagement.
- Impact driven decision-making
Learning Opportunities:
- Assist with home game Community and Foundation activations.
- Observe and collaborate with multiple Dallas Wings departments on cross-functional projects that drive impact and revenue.
- Observe and practice activating community programs and events that align with our pillars, engage the community and support marginalized communities.
- Observe community relationship building by shadowing staff at meetings, events, and programs.
- Observe and practice developing and executing fundraising opportunities that will support the organization’s philanthropic programs.
- Observe and practice Foundation Board governance and Foundation operations.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working or volunteering with non-profit organizations, executing or supporting the organization’s programs.
- Previous fundraising experience.
- Community engagement experience includes but not limited to volunteer management, event planning, relationship building.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to work non-traditional and long hours including evening and weekends
- Students must be currently enrolled at an accredited university; in an undergraduate or graduate degree program
