The Chicago Sky are seeking a Game Operations Intern (Seasonal) to join us for the 2026 WNBA season to support game presentation, fan entertainment, and game day logistics at all Sky home games.
This internship provides hands-on experience in live sports entertainment, event production, and game operations, offering students the opportunity to learn how professional sporting events are executed behind the scenes.
This position reports to the Game Operations & Entertainment Manager and the Game Operations Coordinator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Attend Chicago Sky home games throughout the 2026 season.
  • Support execution of game presentation and game operations during Sky home games.
  • Assist with on-court activations and entertainment elements during timeouts, halftime, and other game breaks.
  • Learn and help execute the game day run of show.
  • Assist with arena setup and teardown on game days.
  • Support coordination of game day entertainment groups and performers.
  • Assist with distributing game day materials and documents.
  • Provide general game day operational support to the Game Operations and Entertainment staff.
  • Attend additional Sky events as deemed necessary.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree in sports management, event management, communications, business, or a related field.
  • Preferred experience in event operations, game presentation, entertainment, or athletics at any level (collegiate, amateur, or professional).
  • Preferred experience working in sports or live event environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Positive, energetic attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.
  • Interest in learning live event production, sports entertainment, and game operations.

Schedule Requirements
  • Must be able to work in-person at all Chicago Sky home games from April through September, unless academic obligations prevent attendance during the school year.
  • Some nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.
  • Game day hours are included as part of the role.

Compensation
This is a part-time, unpaid internship, and students should ideally be able to gain academic credit for their participation.
Duration: April 2026 – September 2026 (subject to change based on WNBA schedule)
