The Chicago Sky are seeking a Corporate Partnerships Sales Manager, responsible for generating new revenue and supporting the strategic execution of partnership initiatives.
 
The ideal candidate will have experience selling corporate partnerships for professional/collegiate sports teams or entertainment properties, along with a demonstrated track record of exceeding goals, developing strategic sales campaigns, and building partnerships. This role requires strong strategic thinking, outstanding presentation and communication skills, and experience negotiating high-value contracts.
 
This position reports to the Director of Corporate Partnership Sales & Solutions.

 ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

·       Responsible for managing all facets of the sales process including, but not limited to prospecting, inventory management, asset tracking, deck building, and contract drafting for the purpose of revenue generation.

·       Build sales collateral for new business pitches including proposals, RFPs, prospecting sheets, term sheets, etc.

·       Support ongoing Salesforce CRM management by tracking sponsorship activity, updating assets and inventory, and ensuring data consistency across reports, rate cards, and sales pipelines.

·       Research and analyze market activity to equip the sales team with innovative partnership concepts, data insights, and category trends to strengthen proposals and sales presentations.

·       Continuously prospect to develop new business through outreach and networking, which includes growing existing relationships and fostering new connections.

·       Develop and maintain positive relationships with client contacts and executives at various team and partner functions.

·       Work cross functionally with other departments to finalize asset packages for new or existing partnerships.

·       Actively participate in weekly team meetings to report on and discuss ongoing owned projects.

·       Support Director of Sales & Solutions with administrative and strategic responsibilities as needed.

·       Other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

·       Bachelor’s degree required (advanced degree preferred), ideally in Sports Management, Sports Marketing, Business, or Marketing.

·       Must have a minimum of 3+ years of proven sales experience within major league sports or related industries such as brand partnerships, events and live entertainment.

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

·       Proficient in sales strategy and negotiation.

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Salesforce and other related computer skills required.

·       Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and perform effectively under pressure.

·       Must be able to work non-traditional hours as required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to fulfill the commitments of the role.

SCHEDULE EXPECTATIONS

·       The Corporate Partnerships Department works remotely on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with mandatory in-office hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Standard work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This schedule is subject to change with ample prior notice, including the potential addition of in-office days as deemed necessary by department leadership or organizational needs.
·       All Corporate Partnerships staff members are expected to work all home games (minimum of 22 per season), including nights, weekends, and holidays. Staff is expected to be available for pre-season and post-season games as required.
·       Travel opportunities for client events, symposiums, and Chicago Sky games may occasionally be required. Ample notice will be provided, and all associated costs will be covered by the team.

Compensation:
$75,000 – $100,000 total annual compensation
(Includes base salary plus performance-based commissions)
