This is an exciting opportunity for those interested in a career in sports sponsorship & marketing to join our Corporate Partnerships team as a game day intern.  During this internship, you will experience the ins and outs of partnership activation on game-day's, including recording and measuring activations, implementing and operating LED signage, handing out giveaways, aiding in on-court sponsored promo's, generating leads on the concourse and more.
 
Location: The Chicago Sky plays all home games out of Wintrust Arena (200 E. Cermak Rd, Chicago, IL 60616)

Start/End Date: May - September 2024
 
Availability: 10 positions
 
Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. Interns are encouraged to use this experience as part of any college credit requirements. 
 
Time Commitment: Interns are expected to work all home games from May to September of 2023 season (plus playoffs, if applicable). If there are games you cannot work, or will need to leave early to return to school, please ensure you are noting this in your application. Please refer to our schedule sky.wnba.com/schedule.
 
Responsibilities to Include:
  • Executing essential game-day partnership activations
  • Proof of performance & content capture
  • Preparing promotional materials & giveaways
  • Assisting with hospitality & on-court activations
  • Concourse management
  • Storage room management
  • Event planning and execution of sponsored elements
  • May be asked to assist with offsite activations (i.e basketball clinics)
  • Grassroots marketing efforts all season
  • Conduct administrative work as necessary
 
Necessary Skills Required:
  • Punctual, professional, and dependable
  • Highly motivated; demonstrates initiative
  • Solution-oriented
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized
  • Thrive in fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Skills in design (Photoshop, InDesign) or basic HTML a plus!
