The Chicago Sky are looking for a highly motivated, collaborative, creative, and results-driven Seasonal Photographer to capture digital content, edit, and execute content across gameplay, practices, press conferences, and partnership activations for use across social media, website, app, newsletter, paid media, broadcast features, community, special events, and in-game. 
 
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
This candidate should be passionate about women's sports, championing equality, and generating breakthrough strategies and creative ideas to drive results. Responsibilities
·       Capture content at all home games, practices, photo shoots, and events, including gameplay, highlights, fan content, concourse and partnership activations, videoboard content, and storytelling features. 
·       Capture and edit content to be featured on Chicago Sky social media channels, including but not limited to, interviews, sponsored photos and graphics, tunnel walks, community events, press conferences, and partnership activations. 
·       Send content in real time during games to social media and design teams to make sure photos can be posted on time. Upload all content to hard drive immediately after practices, games, and key events. 
·       Actively participate in editing photo content for digital media platforms Ingest and archive footage from gamedays and events.
·       Participate in meetings and brainstorm sessions to help shape creative concepts that will evolve the Sky content. 
·       Set up and operate cameras at arena and practice facility.
·       Attend community events and capture compelling content that tells the story of the event.
·       Partner closely with Graphic Design, Marketing, PR, Partnership Marketing, Corporate Partnerships, Tickets, and Community Departments.
 
Qualifications
  • 2-4+ years of digital content, sports photography, graphic design, editing experience
  • Strong portfolio of sports-related photographic content (we will request examples)
  • College degree in marketing, photography, sports marketing
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and editing software programs.
  • Evidence of strong creativity, innovation, idea generation 
  • Passionate about sports marketing, with an interest in women's sports and the WNBA
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills
  • Great communicator who enjoys presenting to and interacting with key stakeholders
  • Energetic, self-starter who is solution-oriented and comfortable working in a fast paced environment, with and without direct supervision
  • Positive demeanor and strong work ethic
  • Hybrid role: Attendance at all 20 home games, many practices, and some weekends/evenings. https://sky.wnba.com/schedule
  • Maximum hours = 30/week at an average rate of $25/hour (pending experience level)
